Thank you so much for visiting our site.
We are Marina and Micaella, a mother-daughter team who founded this love project of ours called Wild Wawa. For as long as we can remember we’ve been enamored with creating things. Shortly after Valentina was born, first baby for me (Micaella) and grand-baby for my mama (Marina), we finally took the plunge and launched our first collection of baby clothing that we decided to call Wild Wawa.
In one sentence, Wild Wawa is our attempt to bring to life high-quality, eco-friendly clothes with handmade touches that showcase the artful and timeless beauty of artisan craftsmanship.
Having spent our lives between Peru and California resulted in us feeling deeply inspired by each unique place. We are passionate about Peru’s incredible craft and the wonders that artisan women are capable of creating with their hands. Crochet, knit-work, hand-embroidery and organic dying methods are a few practices we value very much and incorporate very often into our designs. At the same time, in our effort to produce only the highest quality garments for your babies while minimizing our environmental impact as much as possible we work exclusively with natural fibers and certified organic cottons.
Everything is handmade in Lima, Peru by a small team of incredibly talented women we've had the fortune of knowing and working with for several years. They, like us, also feel thankful to earn a fair living wage doing something they love. Additionally, since many of the women we work with are mothers themselves, we provide them with the opportunity to work from home so they can care for their families as well.
Our hope is that our garments are seen as heirlooms that can be passed on for generations in your families and that they are truly loved since so much love goes into making them. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out. We're more than happy to help in any way we can.
Lots of love!
Marina, Micaella & Baby V.
