Like cashmere or wine, there are varying degrees of quality when it comes to cotton. Peruvian Pima cotton is considered one, if not the best in the world for it’s ideal growing conditions, extra long staple length compared to other cotton fibers (the length of the white fuzzy part of the cotton plant), and because it’s almost entirely harvested by hand.

All these factors make it supremely soft, exceptionally durable and highly resistant to pilling. You can wash a hundred times and the fabric doesn’t get worn down or scratchy like other cotton fabrics do. It’s also hypoallergenic so perfect for kiddos with eczema or other skin sensitivities.

Care instructions are provided in the product page for each item. However, typically our pieces made of knit cotton fabric, corduroy, cotton drill or denim, are okay to be machine washed and tumble dried in low heat.For items made of cotton gauze we recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry for longer use and to avoid any shrinkage.For knitted items or items with a lot of handwork and/or embroidery, we recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry.
