Our Story

We're Marina and Micaella, the mother-daughter duo behind Wild Wawa. For as long as we can remember, we have loved creating things. In February 2015, while living in Brazil with my husband, we welcomed our baby girl, Valentina. My mom, Marina, who lived in Peru, visited as often as possible. It was in those early days as a new mom, surrounded by the sweet chaos of caring for a newborn and simultaneously touched by unexpected bursts of creative inspiration, that we decided to combine our talents and create a children's clothing brand that reflected our love for handmade craftsmanship and meaningful design.

The name is a nod to our Peruvian heritage and our tiny muse, Valentina. 'Wawa' means baby in Quechua, the native language spoken in the Andean highlands of Peru. And with the whirlwind that comes with life as a new mom, "Wild Wawa" felt like the perfect name. A celebration of the beautiful, wild adventure of motherhood and childhood.
